Andrea Jeremiah
Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actress, singer-songwriter, and performer. She is mainly involved in Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum Rasoolum, a Malayalam film made her Malayalam debut as an actor. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in a Tamil Nadu Anglo-Indian family. Her father is a Madras High Court lawyer. She has a younger sister living and working in Leuven Belgium, as a Research Assistant. Jeremiah was brought up as a child in Chennai. He attended National Public School. After graduation, he studied at Women's Christian College. Andrea was able to learn the piano classically in her 8th year. Young Stars is a Jackson Five kind of group which she joined in the age of 10, which was the foundation of her music and singing career. Also, she was an actress in her college. Andrea was president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her theatre career with Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. She starred with Shiva as part of a commercial for a coffee. Also, she was a part of the serial that was broadcast on Podhigai channel. She has appeared in various shows in a variety of roles across India. She played a brief role during the climax in Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham Vaisudev menon had her sing in Vettaiyaadu's Vilaiyaadu. She was asked to have her play the role of a female character on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea portrays Kalyani who is married and mother to a man who has an affair. Andrea was selected for the part following Simran and Tabu, two actresses who were contacted by producers. The film premiered in the early 2010s. It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu released his multi-starrer Mankatha. It was her turn to fill a smaller support role. Annayum Rasoolum was Rajeev's romantic flick from 2013.
