Sharp was a student of clarinet, keyboard as well as cello at the Hochstein School of Music in Rochester. The Boston Conservatory offered her a grant for her theatre classes at her school. Cum Laude, where she earned a B.F.A. Sharp began her career performing on stage following her graduation from the Conservatory. Sharp was a part of The Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Other stage performances include: Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Sharp read alongside the playwright August Wilson himself. Sharp is also working on other projects that she is working on alongside her work for the screen and stage. The singer is also making her debut full-length studio album. Sharp is a fan of exercise. She keeps herself fit through training in boxing, learning Krav Maga, and taking long roadtrips. Sharp lives with her family in Los Angeles.
